Santa's reindeer went to play
When they noticed something wrong
There weren't any bells on the sleigh
In fact it looked quite different
Across the side it said "Chevrolet"
An elf told the reindeer not to worry
Old Saint Nick got jolly and went a bit far
That's the reason for no sleigh
and in its place they've seen a car
Later when Santa came to his senses
he realized all that comes with a car
There's insurance and gas to buy
more expensive than using reindeer by far
Santa Claus tried to make recompense
To the reindeer no excuse made sense
When he asked if they would pull the sleigh
Rudolph said they were on strike
while all the other reindeer motioned
for Santa to go take a hike
With any luck on Christmas Eve
Santa's reindeer will reconsider
I'd hate to see all of our gifts
go to the highest bidder
