WHEN WILL YOU COME?

Author: Neha Athavale

Poem:
WHEN WILL YOU COME?

  When will you come?
For I long to be embraced in your arms, as if there was no tomorrow, as if today would never end.
For I spend countless days thinking of your face, as if I already know who you are, as if there is no one else I can possibly dream of.

When will you come?
I wait day by day for my angel to return to me,
Because without you, my life is not complete,
without you, the days never end and the nights never stay,
without you, sorrow still lingers my walls and doorways, and will continue to do so until I find you.
And without you, my smile is meaningless and isn't the same- at all.

When will you come?
I long await your presence,
Every night I look at the stars to try and find mine, the one that has that special twinkle.
Every beach I go to, I try to find that special grain of sand that holds that perfect texture.

When will you come?
I can now feel your silent presence,
Waiting for the right time to embrace me,
Waiting to say my name,
Waiting to be with me,
Waiting for you to give light into this life of mine.
Where are you?
How can I find you?
How will I know if I already did?
Maybe, just maybe, I already have...

LONELINESS

Author: Marj Busby

Poem: LONELINESS

I beg you, O’ lonely heart
Stop your incessant pining,
It’s years since we have been apart
Surely now you can see the sun shining.

If he had really truly loved you
He would thought never to have left,
So please let some pleasure through,
For time is passing, your heart is bereft.

Look to the sun, dear heart, I pray
Also the stars on a dark night,
For some day soon one lovely day,
You will find peace arrive, in all its might.

The end Marj Busby
