FINAL GOOD-BYE

Author: Elizabeth Estrada

Poem:
FINAL GOOD-BYE

A whirlwind of color is passing us bye
As we stand here today and say our final good-byes
Memories of laughter memories of tears
It is time to look toward the future and face up to our fears

We are leaving a place some people called a second home
Spreading our wings and flying on our own
"The sky is the limit" a phrase often used
To describe what we have done and what is yet to be pursued

Each teacher has left a special place within our hearts
That we have kept inside of us right from the start
But the thing that we will remember most of all
Is the friendships that we will always recall

Even though our lives may lead us in different directions
We will always recall the friendships that were near to perfection
We stand here today in our caps and gowns
With God's grace shining from Heaven down

Now that we are looked at as young adults
It is time to take responsibility for all of our faults
The future holds many wounders for us to see
But we will take with us all of our memories

Throughout the good times and the bad
We have always come on top
And that is something the future will never stop
On this graduation day it is ok if you cry
Because it is hard to accept this is our FINAL GOOD-BYE

FAREWELL

Author: Snobu Inegbedion

Poem: FAREWELL

As each day hastily draws to a close

Just before I have my nightly repose

I cannot help thinking of our imminent seperation

Due to our final vacation

I think of all my loyal friends

Who have come with me to the very end

Those who have made my stay pleasurable

And all the days exciting and memorable

The ones whom my life here has revolved around

As along and lasting friendship was found

Though it is the lot of mankind to part

You have all become a part of my heart

For I will cherish every single memory

And will not forget you in a hurry.

To all those I have hurt or offended

Whether on purpose or unintended

I apologise to with heartfelt remorse

For there is none without worldly flaws

For those who have made a lasting impression

In this phase of my earthly procession

I will keep a candle burning in my heart

From the very moment we part

And for all those whom I have befriended

And those on whom I have often depended

I pray for God's guidiance and favour

In all their interactions and endeavour

And to all those who always wish me well

I say God bless and farewell.
