Two Poems from our Graduations Poetry Collection

GRADUATION

Author: Anastasia Reeves

Poem:
GRADUATION

  3 down
1 year left
to walk these halls
3 down
1 year left
to rekindle lost friendships
1 year left
to make memories
leave smiles
history turns
into new beginnings
3 down
1 year left
to see faces
glance smiles
stare tears
1 year left
until the end
tassels turn
caps fly
3 down
1 year left
to say
goodbye

SCHOOL MEMORIES

Author: Tiffany Lima

Poem: SCHOOL MEMORIES

Lockers slammed,
Relationships began and ended,
Lectures long,
Halls crowded,
Passing periods quick,
Lunch loud,
Bullies plentiful,
Teachers eavsdropping,
Cheating a regular task among others,
Dress code strict and broken many times,
Teenagers growning up,
Becoming an adult,
Eyes rolled around,
Rules broken,
Detentions frightning,
Friends always there,
During the good and the bad,
The one thing to miss ,
And never forget about school.
