GRADUATION

Author: Tiffany Rowley

Poem:
GRADUATION

  Take a deep breath,
It’s almost time,
Try not to think of the things you’ll be leaving behind,
It’ll always be there,
Within your soul,
You’ll take with you all the things that you now know.
Don’t you worry,
You will be ok,
You have what you need for now,
Today is your day.
It’s your time to shine,
You’ve come a long way,
So whatever’s on your mind,
Save it for another day.
Breathe it all in,
Take the memories that you can,
Get ready to begin,
And then breathe again.
I believe in you,
I believe in everything you are,
And I’m so proud,
That you made it this far.
Don’t worry about what tomorrow brings,
You’re here right now,
And forget about all those things,
That could bring you down.
So take the step,
Put on a smile,
You still have a little while,
I will catch you if you should fall,
I’m here always,
And just remember today,
If you need to think of better days.

PROUD

Author: Alisha Fields

Poem: PROUD

IT'S GRADUATION DAY! ALL HARD WORK IS NOW PAID OFF.
NO LONGER MY NAGGING, YOU PAID THE COST TO BE THE BOSS!!
I KNOW THERE WERE STRUGGLES AND SOME MENTAL PAIN.
DEMEANING AGGRAVATION WHEN THE TEACHERS CALLED YOUR NAME!
YOU EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS, ALTHOUGH THEIR OPINIONS MADE YOU MAD.
BUT YOUR VALUES WERE "STRONG" AND AN AWESOME CHARACTER YOU HAD.
TO LEAD BY EXAMPLE IS WHAT YOU KNOW TO DO.
I AM THE PROUDEST SON, I THANK GOD MY DAD IS YOU.
