ALWAYS FRIENDS

Author: Ella meese Meese

Poem:
ALWAYS FRIENDS

It seems just like yesterday you hated me,
And never thought about how great our friendship could be.

Today I sit here thinking about all the fun times we’ve had,
And realizing when you go, how I will be deeply sad.

I try to block out that time when you must go,
But when it slips by, I take a deep breath and blow.

I will never forget your face when the tears are flowing,
And how deep down my pain is growing.

When you leave there will be nothing here for me,
And that is problem that only I will ever see.

Throughout our fun times, I hoped it would never end,
I’ve realized they will, but I hope to always be your friend.

MOVING ON

Author: Greta Meese

Poem: MOVING ON

Our lives are moving on so fast and there is no slowing it down,
I try to keep my head up and hold a smile, but more than ever just a frown.

I look in the past and wonder why everything has to change,
Why can’t we all be friends, all on the same page.

When we go out on our own, will we remember the fun times?
All the laughter, songs and the words we loved to rhyme?

I will never forget the time we spent together,
I just hope that we can be friends, friends forever.
