Staring out of the window at the grey sky, Blocking out the sunlight, Waiting for time to go by, As fast as stars that, while I sleep, fly, Over my head,in the endless dark of night.
Raindrops falling from the air, Outside,it was quieter than snow, My heart cheers in silence, without a care, While others moan in despair, As in their hearts are filled with woe.
The sun comes out and all others cheer, And I ,though disappointed, cope, For I hold then dark weather near, But sunlight does not cause me fear, For my heart contains endless hope. |

QUIETUDE |

Play tunes to cover the din of all your voices endless noises, worldy chatter; uninterested questions, insincere replies yet, not one of so many, innumerable actually, can answer the Why of a soul's soundless Sigh and ultimate relief, how, in utter solitude with a day-old loaf and bottled fruit juice for company, the heart is finally at peace under the shade of a leafless old pine, burnt down by some adventurer God knows how long ago... Alone, at last with myself. Free to be me. Or just free to be. That's quitude.
