RAINDROPS

Author: Thelma Zaracostas

Poem:
RAINDROPS

RAINDROPS
From "Trinity Michelle's Blue Folder."
1973.

RAINDROPS

Early one morning
on a cold winters day,
The raindrops are calling
"It's time for our play"

They fall from the clouds
With the greatest delight
And land on the windows
All glistering bright.

They love to ride down
from the glass window pane
Then they will try it
again and again.

They slip and they slide
They shout very loud,
Then they evaporate
back to the clouds.

BY TRINITY MICHELLE.

Happy Trails

Poem: Happy Trails

You’ve drawn another map
to help you navigate.
Woods full of adventure
silently await.

Get your lantern,
grab your pack,
fetch your lunch—
no turning back.

Tread softly,
blend in well;
examine not only trees,
but where little creatures dwell.

Perhaps you’ve time
to look for frogs,
after lunch
upon a log.

Use your map
to find your way
playing all
throughout the day.
