Mindy Melisma took the Butterscotch Bandstand,
with her thirty-six piece band,
the Bubblegum Spiderweb Temperament,
guava dusk skies lingered with peppermint,
she stood richer than a lucky Denver mint,
introducing her bacchanalian grandstand flabbergast,
with colorful uniforms all mismatched.
Nine drummers, seven horns, six bongos,
six pan flutes, two fiddles, two kotos,
complete with lyre, santoor and sitar,
Yue Qin, Quanoon and bass guitar,
Mindy made band mamber number thirty-seven,
with her solar-powered mandolin,
feelin' the music melts her hair mandarin.
.
.
She screamed, "Let's radiate this psychedelic clambake,
this lawn social is no coffee klatch,
this is a rainbow gathering of the first degree,
so whistle and sway your hands,
let's show this sweet world how we dance."
.
.
Mindy wore most of her hair down,
with a few strands moussed up over her head,
like a Triton Cockatoo,
sung with an ancient voice like that of Peru,
performing in her gold chiffon jumpsuit,
with a psyche resolute,
even through the twenty-five minute jam "Citrus Typhoon"
.
.
Her buttery voice giving everyone a butterscotch blush,
playing to the audience a game of Chinese Whispers,
happiness is just a way of living, so the music's open to interpretation,
and how this soiree has simmered,
it's got all the community simpered...
.
.
Mindy Melisma shook the Butterscotch Bandstand...
