I came home from school after a usual day
mum had brochures on going away
somewhere hot and very sunny
it was going to cost a lot of money
mum had decided we were off to spain
It would be good to travel on a plane
We decided to go at the end of june
Time went quick it came round soon

Suitcases were open, ready to pack
A holdall and even a bag for my back
Shorts, t-shirts and swimwear for the pool
lots of light colours to try and keep cool
Suncream with factors from eight to fifteen
Shampoo and shower gel to keep clean
Beach stuff and bath towels, in it all goes
We all have to sit on the cases to close

Dad gets the car out we're ready at last
In the back with my sister, hope time goes fast
mum gets in and checks the passports again
on the way it starts to rain
Not long till we feel the Heat of the sun
swimming in the pool will be great fun
but as we get closer, the airport in sight
mum starts to worry about the flight

We go to the departure lounge two hours to wait, mum still panicing so hope it's not late
The planes on the runway it's come from spain
off goes mum to the toilet again
we get on the aeroplane it's warm inside
ready to take off, what a ride!
the planes in the sky the clouds are white
mum looks out the window and has a fright

The captain anounces when we'll get there
It was good to be high up in the air
looking out of the window other planes go by
It's amazing what you see when you're in the sky
The plane starts to slow it's ready to land
The flight attendant puts a sweet in your hand
my ears start to pop as we land on the ground
At last we have arrived safe and sound

When we got off the plane the weather is hot
we got on the coach, there seems quite alot
On we went, traveling to our hotel
we're all exited passengers as well
The receptionist greets us with a smile
We were on the coach for quite a while
The room was great with a view of the sea
Time to go out and grab some tea

We got to the water park there's lots to do
Huge slides and a Lazy river too
The beaches are great the waters are clear
We sit on the beach to share some beer
We went to the Volcano and seen a zoo
seen some shows the week soon flew
There's lots to do and see in spain
I hope that we get to go again

We get up early to go to the airport
luggage passports lots to sort
We all feel tired as we drive through town
We were all looking very brown we had breakfast on the plane
There's rubbery egg and stale roll again
up in the air, home we soared
I've really enjoyed "My First Holiday Abroad".
