Every mother rushes to the house,
Shushing us to be as quite as a mouse,
We wait to hear him sneaking by the coop,
All of us huddled in our tight group,
With sharp teeth and claws long,
Ears straight and pounces strong,
We hear the watchman sound the gong,
Praying to god that he is wrong,
We sit in silence,
Hoping tonight there will be no violence,
Then on the door we hear a knock,
We all know there is not point in trying to lock the lock,
My mother kisses me good-bye,
I see a tear flicker in her eye.
But we all know there is no point in trying to beg,
When the bunny wants your son to become an EASTER egg!!!
