IT WAS HALLOWEEN AFTERNOON...

It was Halloween afternoon and all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse the decorations were hung outside with great care, with hopes that soon trick-or-treaters would be there with ma in her witch costume and I in mine we had just settled down for a short quick dine on the lawn there rose such a noise I sprang from my chair and saw a young boy away to the bucket I flew like a flash to take a handful of candy and went to the door with a dash as soon as I opened the door I saw a lot more there was no telling where my mom was I just did it again with a very quick buzz now this kid and that kid all rushing to the door finally my mom came and we did a lot more now there was something approaching the house it looked like a sort of big mouse I looked at my mom and she looked back at me then we looked at each other very gleefully “Happy Halloween” she said with a very wicked laugh and scared the trick-or-treater away very fast and that was the last of the line and soon it was time for mine I grabbed a big stash and hid it very fast and I ran with all of it to my room and there I lay with it in bed and ate all of it instead then I lay back down and felt a rumbly grime and then I fell down in a heap |
