BUT THAT'S JUST ME

Author: Michelle Tran

Poem:
BUT THAT'S JUST ME

  who am i?
who are YOU?
what kind of questions do you ask?
i thought the answer was pretty obvious,
i think you know full well who I am,
sadly, i cannot say the same for you.

you're just a face with a mask,
a name without anything attached,
i can't believe you dared ask me who i am
when i barely know who you are
i think it's unfair of you to ask for what you won't give
but..that's just me-

but i think..
oh i don't know,
this is all so confusing.
i don't even know who i am
am i who you think i am?
am i who i think i am?
i stand here a hypocrite

forget these questions
there are no answers...
and i'm not getting anywhere anyway
but that's okay
i don't think i want to anymore
nothing really makes sense
but...that's just me..

The horses of the sun

Author: Frederick Beaulieu

Poem: The horses of the sun

Freely galloping way up high in the sky,

The horses of the sun couldn’t be seen by the blink of an eye.

Warming the earth with their intense heat,

Spreading it wildly without a cheat.

Following their journey and never quitting,

The horses of the sun have always been befitting.

They will never leave us, for this is true,

They will always be galloping in the blue.

And if you don’t believe , and always stay true,

The horses of the sun won’t be their, to watch over you !
