You are old now; I see it not in years So much as eyes. I cared for you, Yet you got not half that you deserved. Your eyes are sunken, Your step an old woman's crawl, Yet the more graceful you are; With each passing day I see more beauty Than what was there before. You drift away To what thoughts I can't imagine, Your elderly wisdom Forever unknown. I look at you But no longer see life - Only a shadow Of what you used to be. I wonder, do you have regrets. |

It represents a lost art, the carvers are so few. Children being children, what a pleasant view! Carousal takes me back to when I was a lass. Oh, how time flies, fond memories of the past. Brightly hand-carved horses, beautiful and bright. Some are brown, some white and some black as night.
