The flame the burns from deep inside
The rage he knows that goes unseen.
The Cruelty that the steed must bear
The loads that he must carry here.
The stallion who knows the whip;
the feel of blood dripping down his skin.
How he hates his master, who
Is not afraid to scream and beat!
Who so loves to see bright red blood
Falling down his now-scarred coat.
How he wants to rear and shout;
Slashing out with mighty hooves!
But that chance is far from here,
As no one sees the pain he bears.
