As the knight steered me to the cave,
I knew it led to darkness and gloom.
As I tried to canter away,
I was given a whip and words of doom.
The sky rumbled, the clouds moved,
The end was near, that I knew.
At the clearing where the princess ruled,
I knew I was about to be stew.
The non-believe in violence,
Stands me between life and death.
I had to fight my ignorance,
To win glory, to save what was left.
The princess had to be stopped,
Her partner, the ferocious dragon, to be killed.
But did I really stand a chance or not,
To fight the strong duo, or to be killed?
I squinted my eyes, I was determined,
I neighed like never before.
I heard the thundering of my hoofs,
The knight saw it, the knight scored!
He raised his sword, which glittered and shone,
And aimed it straight at the dragon's eyes.
Though I visualised it coming, I moaned,
As my hoofs crunched on the gravel, stiff as rice.
The knight fought with all his might,
The dragon responded just as fierce.
The princess watched on, the awful sight,
As if her dragon was not stabbed and pierced.
When I thought this would never end,
The dragon staggered and collapsed.
The princess only gasped and ran,
I stood and watched her, mesmerized...
