Two ships with destiny forward bound
One being virtue, the other vice
Sailed the ocean of mind profound,
Gathering toll of deed’s merchandise.
And halted they at consciousnesses’ port
And began gathering the merchant’s thought.
Bidding for price the sailors fought,
Upon the battlefield of mind- deeds the sought.
Virtue did yell, but quietly-
“Sell me virtues, - power of thought
The price is high but profits ye,
As we dock at our last port.”
Vice followed suit, with pomp and show
Acclaimed proudly “My price is free, void cost.
So give me vices and continue so,
Till we reach – that last port.”
And on they sailed, laden with thought,
And actions deeds, goods and sort
On they sailed; reached heavens last port
Where virtue gave; the promised gain
And vices wrecked, in agonising pain
Then did he- the merchant learn,
The real price to vices he had paid.
