Touch the cold with pale pink hands,
Like ice thrown through summer sands,
Shivers flow in sparkling knives,
Freezing daggers in your spine.
But one touch can bring you back.
She radiates warmth from a glowing hand.
She clasps it in hers to keep it safe.
And carries you away with shining rays.
Buzzing streams into your head.
Leaving songs of fear and dread.
Nothing brings this chorus out,
Put hands to head and start to crouch.
But softly singing she appears.
Drags you above what you can hear.
The echo’s left beneath your feet,
And she speaks softly to your heartbeat.
.
Walking down an open road,
Your eyes know not where to go.
Through the night you find no path.
And then you fall, your eyes roll back.
A light reflects into your eye.
She shimmers through water in the sky.
She’s perfect blue with shining light,
You follow her in jet black night.
Calmly breathing in your world.
Somehow sickness below uncurls.
The stagnant poison takes your breath,
It flows up and bombards your head.
Lie down below and brush the grass,
Spring and summer in your path.
Breathe in morning, noon and night,
Within her sweetness, safe by her side.
Heart turns cold now, jet black ice,
Breath now shimmers, lips enticed,
By a summer’s sky of blue,
Taste the bitter cold through you.
But softly her kiss soothes your lips.
She’s real now, you return the kiss.
No more fear and no more lies,
Five senses there personified.
