In the hollow of the moment,
I was torn from my dream
Awakened from my slumber,
by an alarm's warbling scream
I walked over to the window,
and drew the curtains wide
The first sight I saw,
was the surging ocean tide
The morning sun still rising,
stained the ocean's waves blood-red
I wondered, "is this an omen?"
then surely I am dead.
The ocean's breeze caressed me,
bringing sounds of seagulls cries
I smiled for a moment,
"I guess that everyone dies..."
It's a day like any other,
just another crimson dawn
A chance to be forsaken,
or a chance to be reborn...
