LABEL ME

Author: Tonya Heath

Poem:
LABEL ME

  You pretend to know me
when you know nothing but my name.
You call me things that I am not-
to you it's all a game.
By labeling me you've proven
you're what labeling's all about:
A book of lies and jealous tales,
written with self-doubt.
Deep down you fear the single thing
you scoff at every day.
The way we feel, the way we act,
the very things we say.
What is it that makes you think
that you have an effect on me?
I honestly couldn't care less
WHAT you pretend to see.
So go ahead and label me,
with your incriminating lies.
For I know that in the end,
it's not up to you to decide.
And many years from now,
when I've chased down all my dreams,
maybe then you'll finally see
that things are not what they may seem.

RESURRECTION OF HOPE

Author: Paulette Lanasse

Poem: RESURRECTION OF HOPE

The dark, cold and lingering days of winter are behind us now and the revitalizing smell
of fresh flowers, soft gentle breezes, and the glittering sunshine brings forth the long
awaited spring.

With it comes the resurrection of hope.
The celebration of the resurrection of
Jesus Christ is significant, in that it was a new beginning for us all.

The fact that Jesus lives, should awaken many emotions within us. Now is the time to reflect on Jesus and His promises to us.

Let us give thanks to the One who holds the stars in His power and who moves the seas at His whim. Let us rejoice in the Love He has created in us
and those we hold dear.

Let us glance up at the sky each day and thank Him for the sunshine that He sends and have brought into our lives.

We should make an attempt to see His hand in the
events around us, knowing always … that His love grows in the gentle breeze of acceptance.

May He lift you up today, so that you can feel His love, forgiveness and mercy ...to help you find your way.
