WONDERED?

Author: Tammy Collins

Poem:
WONDERED?

  Have you ever wondered
about the darkest nights
about the bleakest weather
when fates stolen all the light

Have you ever feared
the loneliness inside
regretted all the tears
that you sometimes cried

Or have you ever smiled
at a young one's touch
or ever had a reason
to tease at someone's blush

Have you ever felt alone
in a crowded place
or ever seen the dried tear stains
on your mothers face

Have you ever felt your heart
when love began to grow
or heard pure laughter
when you appeared to glow

No mattered what you've wondered
no matter what you've felt
remember all your strengths
through all that life had dealt

For you family's always there
their love is truly forever
because our love is equal to
the hand that holds us together

Awakening

Author: Cyndi Shaver

Poem: Awakening

Four walls of cinder,
form the center,
of my four square.
A cornerstone for a locker,
to my anywhere.
And though I've traveled far around,
the bedpost in that room;
I can shake not the
forsaken to my womb.
Althought it was
forescore and twenty;
and a moon or two ago,
the trouble is
when I hear "let-go!"
Now Jesus He never left me,
I know this to be true!
But my reasonings,
are the dicker,
and my memories the blue.
Gazing in now,
I can see my own trance;
For he is a man now
and that is recompense!
