Two Poems from our Inspirational Poems, Motivational Poetry Collection

If there were words

Author: Kelly Jeffery

Poem:
If there were words

If there were words to tell you
How much you mean to me
I'd gladly take a lifetime
Just to make you see

I'd swim my way through Oceans
I'd crawl across the Sand
I'd gladly do just anything
To make you understand

I love you with a passion
My hearts a raging sea
And everytime i'm near you
The Tides wash over me

There's no way I can help it
No reason I should try
My life would have no meaning
Without you by my side

WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE

Author: Mario Saraceno

Poem: WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE

Head home in a new time,
Spending all I've made down to the last dime,
Still sick; I hope to find more,
Yet my new style is now what they adore,
Well off; I am set-up for success,
Telling those I wounded; "Sorry for the mess,"
No remorse or immediate forgiving of my sins,
By action; becomes my only way to make amends,
Leave, unwanted and shunned,
In my new happiness others are suddenly stunned,
Still same flesh as I was in previous years,
However, now I face my deepest fears,
Lonely, untrusted and possessing no life skills,
I don't have to live life that way anymore; I now know that kills,
Disfunctional, distraught and full of anxiety,
I still managed to avoid a selfless fatality,
In this game of life; the rules are simple,
If you throw a rock in your puddle; you will see the ripple,
Chaos now ceased; I find inner peace,
Taking the steps to recover from my disease,
Listen and share are tools I contain,
However, the first thing I must do is merely abstain,
For from there I can grow,
From there my life can finally go,
Forward in motion; towards a life of healthier action,
This for me is a peacefully lived cycle; full of spiritual satisfaction.
TAKE IT ONE DAY AT A TIME OR LOSE FOCUS ON TODAY!
