Two Poems from our Inspirational Poems, Motivational Poetry Collection

Golden

Author: Laterrica Mccloud

Poem:
Golden

Gold is pure, pretty and a rare find.
Gold is strong enough to withstand fire, gentle enough to bend at the touch, solid enough to settle among rocks and not break and soft enough to settle in sand and never be identified.
It can be molded and shaped into anything.
Many try to imitate it and fail.
To mix gold with other metals only makes it stronger.
Gold never looses its value or purpose.
It withstands the test of time.
To be golden is to be the best.
To be like gold is to be like perfection.
To me you are golden.
You are priceless, flexible, strong, modest, gentle beautiful, talented, confident, faithful, supportive and tough and so wonderful that people can't get enough of you.
You don't think too highly of yourself and don't mind being around others even if they are not golden.
For that i love, look up to and honor you.
I dedicate this poem to you, my precious find.
You are truly Golden.

Grace

Author: Edgar Downer

Poem: Grace

His grace and love cannot be compared
To any marvel you see out there
Out in a world he created for you
To have dominion and prosperity too
But you throw it all away in the wink of an eye
From that day forward, you began to die
Separated from someone pure and true
To get what you want, now what will you do?
Lust was your motive I can plainly see, but
Did you think of the consequences?
Did you think of me?
Was it worth the price to eat from a tree?
That would destroy your posterity
Now we are all desperate to find that place
Where there was peace of mind
Void of bloodshed, void of crime
Where all souls are entwined
Around the grace that baffled all mankind.
