Two Poems from our Inspirational Poems, Motivational Poetry Collection

Whispers and shadows

Author: Paul Reichanadter

Poem:
Whispers and shadows

The winds upon a sunrise chase the darkness
away. The shadows of a morning have faded
upon time that has passed. Always wishing
to slow time to gaze upon nature's beauty,
knowing that only time can change the
seasons. The tranquility of the moment is
broken by a whisper from a distance.
A whisper of the future, a shout from the
past. Lessons go unlearned, and another
fate is sealed. A blind path is well
traveled, as the clear one goes unused.
The whispers are followed, the screams fall
deaf upon the ears of blissful contentment.
Secrets told of paradise and the walls
begin to fall. Foregiveness is assured, but
not known. The wind chills, the clouds
cover the Earth, the beauty once seen, now
covered in darkness again.

The everlasting war

Author: Steven Cao

Poem: The everlasting war

When the dead trees are blowing
The murderer's gun starts glowing
Innocent people being blown away
Even in the middle of day
The war has begun

Bombs dropping from a plane is a horrible sight
With all of my might
I tried but knew
I couldn't fight
The war has begun

The never ending circle of evil in the depth of life
The only gain you can get is to try to hide from the knife
They think the troops are running for their life
What they don't know is that we are the one using the knife
The war has begun

When the troops move in
It seems they are being trapped in a den
Forced to the ground and pinned
Instead they turn around and sinned
The war has begun

The troops sees the red white and blue
Like an american that's true
Looking to shine at night like a star that is as bright
They know that they're there to do something right
The war has begun

The war has begun
The war has begun
The war has begun
