Two Poems from our Inspirational Poems, Motivational Poetry Collection

Macrocosm

Author: Ching har Koo

Poem:
Macrocosm

Imagine the breeze ruffling your hair, as you run endlessly along the beach. Alone, feeling refreshed and solitaire, Humanity, clearly out of reach.

Picture yourself lying on luscious green grass, surrounded by horses and lambs at the countryside. At that moment you are nobody, you have no status, no class, You are in oneness with the earth, no rules to abide.

How about soaring through the skies more than hundreds of feet off the ground? Your lungs expand from inhaling fresh air and the clouds are at your finger tips. you can hear absolutely no sound, kissing heaven with your lips.

Have you been whisked off into the nether world? Where you are engulfed in darkness and fear. You travel around in circles, your mind's in a whirl. And the evil spirits look at you with a leer.

Finally you escape, and see the light once more. Absorbing in the landscape, achieved what you have seeked for.

The air has a tinge of lavender, Tulips basking in the sun. Fishes playing in the river, pollen grains having fun.

The soil is your bed, the stars are your guide. The sky is your pillow, Life-a turbulating ride.

Life isn't a bed of roses, it creeps like vines on trees. As the door of opportunity closes, Another chance would soon arrive. A brand new lease.

The difference a day makes

Author: Anthony Ellis

Poem: The difference a day makes

Yesterday, I realized I deserved this world.
I found out that this world deserves me.
Today I wish to be the wind to reach the very edges and corners.
A wind carrying a spirit that embodies all that I am.
At times a misty wind of gentle tears of joy that kisses your skin so that you can feel me.
Yesterday I realized that I couldn’t support as much of you and your dreams as I would like
Today, I wish to be the earth to support your every step.
To carry your weight and take on all of you
To lighten your step so that you may travel another
To see the paths that are taken.
Yesterday, I realized I was not meant to save everyone.
I found out that my soul needs just as much saving.
Today I wish to be the sun just to show you the beauty of a day’s beginning.
To see you open your eyes and realize that you have been given another chance.
To be in your vision to warm your inner thoughts.
Yesterday, I realized that I wasn’t immortal.
Though today I found it wasn’t my day to die.
Today, I speak of tomorrow as I believe I was meant to see.
Today, I find comfort in just breathing.
Tomorrow my love is reborn and I realize the difference a day makes.
