Two Poems from our Inspirational Poems, Motivational Poetry Collection

Untitled

Author: Amberlina Carson

Poem:
Untitled

I stood and watched the sun go down as I waited for you to arrive.
The summer breeze felt grand on my face and it felt ever more alive.
I daydreamed about our love together, and how we'd never be apart.
You have always kept your wish, promising to keep my heart.
Now my eyes won't see the tears that broke my dear old soul.
You brought me out of misery, and drug me from my hole.
I thank and love you forever and a day, until the day I die.
But your face will stay in my mind until in a coffin you lie.
Then we will be together, and never fear the pain.
We will be together, forever once again.

Imagine

Author: Sue Williams

Poem: Imagine

...Being in love, with no one to hold
...Having riches, without any gold
...Owning a cloud, that brings no rain
...Being a comfort, and nowhere to lay your pain

Imagine...

...A gift of love, brings emptiness
...Euphoria does not mean bliss
...A mirror that holds no reflection
...Rejection brings too much perfection

Imagine...

...Mass where there is no mass
...Shallowness brings lots of class
...Emptiness where there isn't any
...Hollowness in fulfuillment a plenty

Grasp the meaning if you can,
the mind of genius will only stand,
on rocky hills and flattened plains.
Heartfelt matters, no time to explain,
just imagine horizons to span.
