Two Poems from our Inspirational Poems, Motivational Poetry Collection

From god

Author: Mary Reynolds

Poem:
From god

I embrace thee. You are my daughter - Be a
tree, a flower - a bee. Embrace thee. Know
all that is pure love and light. Love thy
Father and Mother. Love thy neighbor without
hate and intolerance. You are the living God
in my creation. Embrace all who have done you
harm and still embrace them with love and
humility. To feel is to live - I give you the
experience of life. Be the sun, the moon and
stars. Touch the world with your light and
warmth. You can embrace all that I have given
to you and still walk standing tall. To be
humble is not fragile but silent strength. We
forget, we are our own worst enemy. We judge
ourselves the harshest. When in our father's
eyes, We are his children experiencing life
as we only know how. Love yourself and you
will love others as you never knew possible.

A stranger

Author: Gerynn McFarland

Poem: A stranger

I was walking down an alley when I heard someone gasp for air,
I looked over beside me and a stranger was sitting there,
I asked him what’s the matter but all he did was stare,
I asked him again just to see if he heard me
but he didn’t answer he just sat there,
I ran and put my ear up close to his chest,
But heard nothing not even a breath,
I looked all over him in search for I.D.,
And found nothing but maybe a broken kidney,
There were cuts and sores from nails on his wrists,
And some from thorns on the crown of his head,
Blood washed like sheets on my hands,
From what looked like a spear that went through his chest,
Then I realized this man was no fraud but someone very close to me,
His name is Jesus Christ, the son of God who created man,
And if you don’t know him it’s your turn to see him die again.
