On this unusually cold December evening
I am here again,
But this time, just by myself,
Alone
Standing by the ice covered lake
Remembering our first meeting.
Tonight
Everything is unusually peaceful
So quiet
That I can only hear the wind
And my own breath
Tomorrow
Under the familiar heavy fog
Above the muddy road
We will talk together
Side by side for the very last time
It is going to be another
Profound and long journey
But in a different way, short with bitterness.
Terrified
I wish I could see the moon
Through this terrible weather
To erase my memory to a blank
and soothe me .
Who knows if we are expecting
Another horrible storm tomorrow?
Even if I asked everyone in the world
Who would be confident and sure?
Even though our fates are in our own hands
I could not even predict my own.
I am not a coward,
Yet, I am afraid
When the right time comes
we will know the answers.
It is too late to make a change.
Often, it is heartbreaking to hear that
Every little thing will find its own niche
When it is time
It is too dark and mysterious
Outside tonight
I cannot even see
My own reflection from the ice on the lake
I am frightened
But in my body
A warm and red heart pumps.
Just like the bottom of the lake
It will never freeze
Never

|
The newborn child, takes his first breath. It feels good to live, escaping from death. He shivers and shakes, while being passed around; testing his voice, until Mother is found. Mom is exhausted, holding her prize. She holds baby tight, and silently cries. It's for this birth, that we must rejoice; God's message is clear: Life; What a beautiful choice.
