Many sweet love letters askew on the floor I lean over quietly and reach for two more ‘Hey Baby’ is how you started them all As I remember the times when you used to call
Next you asked me how I was And told me you loved me just because You’d tell me what you had planned for that night Or sometimes apologize about a stupid fight
All these memories bring tears to my eyes And all the times you told me not to cry You’ve brought so much joy to my life And when something’s wrong I’m cut like a knife
Now reading new letters, some perfect, some wrinkled I think about how your eyes always twinkled Thinking about the times we’ve spent together I hope that we’ll stay friends forever
Finished reading your letters I think of all the barriers They’re keeping me from being with you But I know you always come through
You always ended your letters with Love This I was in awe of For one of the letters you wrote ‘ill stay with you forever’ And I wrote you back and put ‘I won’t leave you .. never’

Love is all i know. Though it maintains it's distance, It still sends letters Since i was a kid, My mind has always wandered. To you i return. Pulling at my strings, Allowing my form to dance. That is love to me
