Two Poems from our Mother, mom, mommy Poetry Collection

To my mother

Author: Dawn Baker

Poem:
To my mother

  Mom you’ve always been there,
Through the good and through the bad,
You’ve laughed when I was happy,
You’ve cried when I was sad,

You do all that you can all of the time,
You have done nothing but give me love,
Whenever I was sad and hurt,
You’d be the first to run,

My thoughts toward you will never change,
You mean the world to me,Without you I would be like,
A whale without the sea,

You have been the perfect example,
You’ve made sure I’ve stayed by Christ,
I owe everything to Him for you,
Because without you I’d be on thin ice,

Though you’re not always perfect,I would still have no other,You’re the best example of what I want to be,When I become a Mother,

You could never imagine how much I care:
To explain would be too hard to do,
So I’m writing you this poem so you’ll know,
Exactly how much I Love YOU!!!

THE LIGHTHOUSE AND A MOTHER

Author: Danielle Page

Poem: THE LIGHTHOUSE AND A MOTHER

The lighthouse guides
little wondering, unaware
ships to shore.
For if it wasn't for this
"beacon of light" these
ships would be lost in darkness.
Just like a Mother. She guides us through
the fog and darkness.
Lighting our lives to
show us the world
off the shore.
To teach us the right
path to get to the other
shore.
The shore to our future.
