Two Poems from our Mother, mom, mommy Poetry Collection

Her years

Author: Melissa Sundholm

Poem:
Her years

Wondering where the years have flown while I watch my daughter play,
I watch her laugh, I watch her sigh while finds her path or way,
I listen to her whinges and her whines when I fuss over simple things,
Thinking to myself gee I wonder what tomorrow is going to bring.

When did she learn to walk so fast, when did she learn to go potty,
How did she manage to get so tall, the clothes she wears all grotty,
What happened to the simple things which brought a smile to her face,
Now her list of wants and needs grows at rapid pace.

What once was a room of cute stuffed toys, clean and nothing unturned,
Is now a room with toys everywhere and new things she has learned,
She no longer needs a kiss and hug if she grazes her little knee,
Now she stands back up and laughs and says oh silly me.

She don't want my hand anymore when she walks through those school gates,
Now she stands at the bottom and says, hey mum you don't have to wait,
Her friends are there she bravely smiles no longer needing me there,
I simply wave to her as she dashes off to be in her teachers care.

But when I tucked her into bed tonight she simply came to say,
Mummy you know I miss you too even though I grow by day,
I cradle my daughter into my arms as I would when she was a baby,
And I come to accept she is growing up to become my little lady.

Mother

Author: Satish Chohan

Poem: Mother

MOTHER

O my Mom,
Where have you gone , Leaving me alone,
In this World.

This World is,
Full of crulity & sins,
Where lies are thick,
But
Truth is thin.

No one is to be believed,
Even aussurance is given,
Through his scream.

Till you alive,
You provided me Protection,
And acting like Shield,
Against all these,
Misdeeds.

Now,
After your departure, To Heaven,
I am alone,
I feel totally,
Exposed & Exhausted,
Infront of these,
Thick & Thin,

O my Mom,
Where have you gone , Leaving me alone,
In this World.
