Two Poems from our Mother, mom, mommy Poetry Collection

A sharp

Author: Heather Hubbard

Poem:
A sharp

  A lingering soul
In the world alone
As beautiful as the music-
Just listen to the music.
A throbbing cello,
Their heart is breaking;
A crying violin,
Their tears are spilling.
The music of their heart
Cries out its loneliness,
No longer holding back
What's hidden deep inside.
To turn back the hands of time,
Only to feel a loved one's embrace,
To turn back the hands of time,
Only to remove the heart's eternal scars.
Slowly they rise above the fall,
As beautiful as a dove;
The heart tells a tale of woe,
Then lonely it goes on.
To linger in the pain,
To let their hearts bleed,
Through the crescendo and retardando-
Just listen to the music.

Night in the crib

Author: Steven Hearn

Poem: Night in the crib

With a kiss and a hug my mommy said "Goodnight",
She left the room and turned off the light.

In the room it was really scary,
The monster in the corner is really hairy.

I screamed and screamed as loud as I could,
My mommy came in as I thought she should.

When my mommy came in it was outta sight,
So my mommy went to bed and I had no more fright.

Tonight is spooky, spooky indeed,
I scratched myself and started to bleed.

I moaned and moaned as loud as I could,
My mommy came in as I knew she would.

She kissed my owie and said "Goodnight",
She left the room and turned off the light.

Tonight is freaky, freaky as it got,
A monster was shrieking, or atleast I thought.

I yelled and yelled as loud as I could,
My mommy came in as I knew she would.

She picked me up and the bed was creaking,
That must have been the eerie shrieking.

Mommy patted my back and put me in bed.
She said goodnight as she usually said.

I looked outside, an owl was "hooing",
I didn't know what it was doing.

I cried and cried as loud as I could,
My mommy ran in as she always would.

She picked me up and we went to her room,
My mommy's room had an eerie gloom.

I wondered why with a really big shout,
"When will this house stop creeping me out!"

The End
