There are times when a daughter needs her mother, For me this is one of those times, But of coarse you can't be here. I thought I made it pretty clear, That I needed you here, But all you did was turn and walk away, 'Cause someone else needed you, So you simply couldn't stay. How could you just stand there and watch your daughter cry, And have nothing more than a single tear in your eye? I have made it this far without you, So I will now go on alone, 'Cause I simply don't need you, I'm better off on my own. Come to think of it, Most of all the tears I've cried were because of you, So today that all will end too. But before I go, I have just one more simple plea, Please don't treat your grandchildren, The way you've treated me. |

My mother |

If mothers were like flowers, And I could pick and choose, I'd search the whole world over, And then I would choose you. For, when God gave me a mother, He looked at all the rest, The He said, "This child is special- She deserves the best!"
