Two Poems from our Mother, mom, mommy Poetry Collection

Below the solar cross an immaculate poem

Author: L4nz -

Poem:
Below the solar cross an immaculate poem

When I behold the brinestar virgin,
through whom the Prince of glory came,
her poignant smile I count a legend,
and compare nature's grandeur tame.

Permit it, Lord, that I should boast,
the beauty men in women meet,
all vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them beneath her feet.

See from her eyes, her stance, her gaze,
sorrow and love mingles in rhyme,
did ever such love and sorrow face,
or Poet compose a poem sublime.

Were the whole realms of flowers mine,
that'll be an offering far too small,
love so beautiful,so divine,
demands love, for Him, for all

Underneath me

Author: Jonathan Lynch

Poem: Underneath me

My crying shoulder is about to fall away
Beyond my reach
Forever till eternity
Sinking without warning
Under first and second heartbreaks
Ages of tragedies
And priceless victories
My crying shoulder no longer
Sits high above my chin
As I seek comfort and protection
From the harshness of the world around me
Time has washed my crying shoulder clean
Of teardrops stains and sniffling slime
I now tower above this weathered shoulder
Straining to remember once more
How it felt to lean on what I called a haven
What I called security, what I called bravery
Before I face this world alone
