Hungry flames, happy dagger

A listless law hums through the slashes of long stinging pyramids of flittering flash and flare, that guards passing pedals and roving uncertain timbers, as they clasp for their splintering hearts. The stale smoke of caged flames racing for a taste of fresh air, cluttering the porous sky and shaking the last fleeting breaths, silencing the final melodic beats of her pulse.
Perspiring from the scouring search for solution, of a lustful, hopeless, empty interrogation leaving limbs to swim in their charred skin, the lawns ablaze set the clusters in shell shock. The shivering trunks lit against the manic spitting sparks cannot hold ground any longer, and so fall to the torrential heat, the pillars fall in sequenced waves, signaling their dismemberment, as their echoes carve her name in the air.
Beneath the mounds of earthen ash scream a thousand subverted dreams. Swarms of martyrs fallen to darkness, as hope’s visage is clouded in panic.
