Two Poems from our Nature Poetry Collection

Majestical brilliance

Author: De'bee Raatikainen-king

Poem:
Majestical brilliance

Slowly I rise. I patiently await my royal cue.
I wait for my brother’s last radiant tangelo hue.
Darkness will have vanished. All will welcome the new day.
My beams of warmth will blanket my children at play.
From the grass in the meadow, to the lofty tops of the trees.
I comfort the deer in the forest. The birds. The bees.
My sister; the breeze gently cools all that’s in sight.
As for me, I sit firmly casting majestical brilliance of light.
Long and hard hours of labor, is how my day is spent.
I will have done my duty. I will leave in content.
Soon the birds will flock to the trees. All gone for the night.
My brilliance will have faded. There’ll only be my brother’s amber light.
Orchestra of crickets will announce my brother’s new start.
My time here, final. My majestical brilliance must depart.
I am needed elsewhere. Others need my brilliant light.
I must go. To one and all, I wish you peace. Goodnight.

Life

Author: Gboluwaga Olumide

Poem: Life

it comes once in a lifetime
no one expect it in time
lia wonder to the face of man
life comes once in a life time.

it began when an infant comes
the mother is relieved it comes
in her heart its the joy of tomorrow
a new life has just began.

in some stages ,it became meaningless
no one knew why its never endless
it brought tears to the faces of people when its lost
no noe can tell when its will be lost.

it travelback like a vision of the sunset
in the morning it appears brighter than the commet
when evening comes it just fades away
life just end just the way it starts.

everyday,life come and go
no noe know who is next to come and go
as each day come and go
do things as if you are the next to go
