Life is
For you a series of mirror equations,
Staring tragically and mathematically back at
You, systematic numbers and x and y variables,
Against my deviations and insinuations and complications, your
Anomaly.
So it was surprising
When we worked out Nature by
Fumbling and tumbling, peeling back clothes,
Your fingers hibernating in my hair
Against my mind’s sighs and cries, while you
Explained why the sky was blue.
