Two Poems from our Nature Poetry Collection

The painting of flowers

Author: Brittany Maddox

Poem:
The painting of flowers

Each flower represents a decision I must make, and a direction I must take.
I want to make all the right decisions and plan my future to my liking, all of this is just so frightening.
When I see you everything becomes unclear, I just want to have you near.
When I see you laughing and having a good time, I just want to run and hide.
I sat on the chair, wishing you where there.
I listen to your solo and watched your crazy dance, I right then I had my chance,
But I sat in awe that day, and when I say this painting I sat in awe the same way.
All my decisions I want to lead to you, what do I do,
Do I follow my dream or do I follow you.
I may not be able to see your smile, for a while.
Your eyes remind me of the blue waves rolling onto shore, I want to be in you embrace forever more.
Time is short and the decisions are hard to make, please tell me what road to take.
I cry myself to sleep, it would break my heart to see you weep.
So you see this painting it is like you, never down or blue,
So bright and colorful, your just so wonderful,
Such hummer and grace, I always long to see your face.
I don’t know what to do, all I know is I love you

NATURE'S SWEET BREATH

Poem: NATURE'S SWEET BREATH

Nature's sweet breath
brings life to
the forest
and
the morning.
Pine needles dance
grass bends backwards
to see
nature's sweet breath
push clouds by.
