Two Poems from our Nature Poetry Collection

Again it is spring

Author: John Fagan

Poem:
Again it is spring

  Look again it is spring
Time again for birds to sing;
Winter's gray now is past
Vibrant green is here at last.

Gentle rains usher in
Signs of life and joy within;
With each passing day we know
Gone for now are ice and snow.

Now the soil soaks in rain
Green adorns the earth so plain;
With each bud that bursts in bloom
Life springs from its winter tomb.

Birds are singing
Leaves are fluttering;
Winter's muttering
Dies away . . . .

The blue waver

Author: Razan Badawi

Poem: The blue waver

Once in a whole solitude I stand
Waiting on the hot, yellow sand
The palm trees are weaving by hand
And thrown coconuts on the strand

The seashells are sprinkling in the sun
Holding a pearl in everyone
But until now it’s not done
Not all the charming things are gone

That’s the favorite place for me to be
The blue waver is all I can see
