The tide comes in and washes ashore treasures,
The beautiful piece of driftwood, the piece of
sea glass, the many shells of all shapes and sizes. As I gather these treasures to carry home,
I thank God fot the ocean and the tide.
The tide ebbs out and with it goes my tears.
Of love lost and found, hurt and pain.
Not knowing how to say goodbye even though those
people have been gone for years.
So I thank God for the people he has put in my life. And I ask him to help me through the pain.
Then I watch the tide once more as it comes in,
bearing it's treasures and the cycle begins.
In and out the cycle keeps going. Just as God
made it so the ocean could keep flowing.
God in his infinate wisdom knew how to bring
pleasure and take away pain all in a single day.
All in a single way. So I thank God for the ocean
and the tide. For the time to say hello and the
time to say good by.
