Two Poems from our Nature Poetry Collection

MOMENTS

Author: Suladay Bells

Poem:
MOMENTS

  Wake up dear and listen,
Attentively
Eternity so long,
Forever
But made up of moments
Moments so minor individually,
Insignificant
Eternity so long,
Forever
Flashin' passin' moments it depends
Individually minor,
Insignificant space to fill
In power of greatest potential
A moment altered
Eternity changed forever
A moment past
Eternity past
Know this dear,
We are the moments of life
Eternity so long,
Forever
On moments it depends to live

BLUE MOONBEAMS

Author: Monica Gilpin

Poem: BLUE MOONBEAMS

As I look to the sky at daybreak,
And hear the birds' sweet song,
I feel that something's missing,
Like they just don't belong.

When I walk in the daylight hours,
Under the sun so bright,
I have a funny feeling,
Like something isn't right.

When the sun goes to sleep,
I'm filled with joy it seems,
For I'm walking in the place I love,
In the blue moonbeams.
