LET ME WALK WITH YOU

Author: Gail Kay

Poem:
LET ME WALK WITH YOU

  Lord, grant me wisdom
patience and trust;
Let me walk with You
Along the highways
And the byways
of life,
of my mind
Not judging those
I find
along the way
for only You
Knows what they have
Experienced to be
What they are;
Let me see them
Through your eyes,
Until that time comes
When I shall hear
Your voice
Calling me Home.

Imagine

Author: Robert Lisiecki

Poem: Imagine

Close your eyes, what do you see
I see a place where people are free
A place without fighting, we all get along
Even with little hope, we all stay strong
A place with no secrets, no fortune, no fame
A life worth living, as easy as a game
Like a game without rules, consequences, or death
A place where you do not worry about your next breath
People won’t go hungry, homelessness shall be no more
Everyone will have it good, no more rich, no more poor
Because in this place money is not needed
The supplies are endless, their rate speeded
This place is unreal, it just can not be
So you open your eyes and what do you see
A world that is opposite, an imperfect place
Where you can be judged on religion, views, and race
This place you imagined when you closed your eyes
Is a place that is real, it is just waiting deep inside
For it one day to be released
When you are done with this world, gone and deceased
The ruler of this place will be waiting with open arms
To show the way the world should be, but that world was harmed
So when you close your eyes and imagine a place
Just know that you’ll get there, just at a slow pace
Endure this place that we call a home
Because our true destiny will soon be known
