Let There Be Light

Author: Vijaya Mehta

Poem:
Let There Be Light

The World entire is in eclipse,
With the dense darkness of evil;
the gloominess of Hatred,
the dungeon of self despair,
the absence of any morality.
Every soul seems to cry:
"Let There Be Light".

God, at the time of creation,
Engraved a message vital and significant:
" Lighting up the World like the Sun
Your flame should burn incessant
with the feul of Love and Compassion!
Dispel Hatred and Selfishness-
Let There Always Be Light."

In times of crisis major,
When We are fully submerged
in oceans of Violence and Hatred,
God visits Earth in forms like ours
to bring back Joy and Happiness
and enlighten us with lights divine!
Let There Forever Be Light.

Mothers Love

Author: Barbara Dingess

Poem: Mothers Love

There is no love that can compare
To that which began with prayer.
A mother on her knees did plea
Interceding for her family
Oh how blessed we all have been
And to this there is no end
Each one of us now on our knees
Adding to our mothers pleas
Our children and their children too
Escape that wrath that will ensue.
Though we all have made mistakes
That one prayer has kept us safe
We all know that prayer of love
Went straight up to the throne above
The loving God my mother served
Saw a clean heart and observed
That mothers love so tender pure
Her reward a family safe and secure
