SPECTRUM

Author: James Thompson

Poem:
SPECTRUM

Rays from the sun shine lighting up sky,
As dark clouds present begin to pass by.
Indications of rain so clear,
Notable storm begins to appear.
Brightness of colours on the bow at a height,
Over grey sky from left to right.
With red to begin and orange below,
Colour like yellow appears to glow.
Others as well such as green and blue,
Liven up the spectrum too.
Onwards towards the final show,
Unclosed shades of indigo.
Reaching the colour of violet,
Simply completes the visible set.
"I have set my rainbow in the cloud,"
Noah heard said out loud.
Floods are now in the past,
Open to see by the bow cast.
Reaching time to look ahead,
Marked by days to be well lead.

PEACE

Author: James Thompson

Poem: PEACE

It was Sunday morning the day of rest,
as I sat in my garden being blessed.
Surrounding the waterfall with the sound,
of the running water as it was found.
Were the trees providing colour and shape,
as the trunks offshoots gave their drape.
Lovely weather the sky so blue,
and the sun did shine with warmth too.
Church bells rang adding more to the sound.
and birds as they sang within the bound.
Through the air blew a fresh breeze,
providing a whistle through the trees.
All adding more to the atmosphere,
plus the feel of Gods presence so very near.
I read from my book in certain parts;-
"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts."
If sitting out here feels so good,
could living in Heaven be understood?
