DID YOU TRUST ME AS WELL AS YOU PRETENDED?

Author: Lacey Wolverton

Poem:
DID YOU TRUST ME AS WELL AS YOU PRETENDED?

We’ve been together for a really long time.
You helped me through all the different obstacles I’ve climbed.
I can’t believe you ended everything this weekend.
This makes me wonder if you even trusted me as well as you pretended.
You’ve hurt me many times before.
But feelings I have for you will never be ignored.
No matter how many times you slam the door.

WHAT YOU'VE DONE

Author: Bethany Krzcuik-locke

Poem: WHAT YOU'VE DONE

Your touch numbs me
all i feel are the tears rolling down my face
you kiss them away to make me smile
i can't bring myself to appease you
my soul screams in torment
begging for sweet release
then you hold me close
my soul cries, burning my flesh
watch closely and ill try to tell you
tell you my ugly truth, lying behind blue eyes
you look deep into my eyes and read my soul
you know all my secrets
don't look at me
you'll hate what you see
