I open my weary eyes A dull sense of yearning Sears through my body I watch forgotten memories burning In the ashes a rose rises Yet there shall always be a thorn Caressing are the petals of truth Piercing are the silent screams I’m torn That silent scream resounds, Echoing in my head, Churning are the emotions, And the things that are left unsaid. Suffocating but taking slow breaths Blind but now I can see clearly Emotions I’m unable to describe Scared yet fearless of who I can be Quietly I lie awake, I am holding it all in, This storm inside rages on, Yet I bear the rain and wind. A wish to see your eyes again They penetrate my whole being You give me faith in the morning winds Hope in believing instead of seeing My broken dreams and severed wings Vanish when you hold me near The fire in your soul and heart Save me from drowning in my tears Yet the darkened shadows grow fiery The sun casts blood to the sky My spirits are diminishing until I step back and look in your eyes Sobbing I lay my head on your shoulder Unworthy of your love that I keep Hold my heart and grasp it tight For I’m strong at being weak Will you keep fighting for me? Never let me go? Will you love me all my days? A love that will surely grow? Would you love me for who I am? Even if I were blind or couldn’t speak? Would you look beyond my surface? Would you see what lies beneath? You answer all of these questions By simply taking my hand The morning sun rises now I finally understand My shadows and doubts Were but mere lies I no longer listen to these silent voices For I have come to realize The coming of the morning tide Does not care if you live or die Just as long as you promise forever Promising forever, you and I |

End this existing evil, End this horrifying devil. End this growing hatred, End this terror widespread. End this saga of agony, End this suffering of many.
