Two Poems from our Sad, Grief, Sympathy, Broken Heart Poetry Collection

HURT

Author: Natalia Plekhanova

Poem:
HURT

I was flying in the clouds,
Reaching for the sky…
How could you hurt me so?
How could you tell a lie?

I trusted you the most,
I thought you were the one.
But you wanted freedom
And didn’t know what you have done.

When I found out everything,
It pierced right through my heart.
The pain that overtook me
Was sudden like a dart.

When we were together
I was silly enough to think that it would last
But you, with all your countenance
Now assure me that it’s all in the past.

I keep on thinking about you,
I don’t seem to be able to let it go
But I don’t want to repeat it all,
I have to give in to the stream and just flow.

My life is full of memories
That dictate and partake all my thoughts,
Everything seems so distant
And my breath in the air just floats.

I am dying inside me,
Can’t figure out what’s wrong…
I guess it’s everything around me
That has turned around
to prove that I’m not that strong.

My Confession

Author: Natalia Plekhanova

Poem: My Confession

Cried on my friend’s shoulder-
won't do it again…
Thought I loved you-
now I regret.
Baby I want you,
but you don’t even care.
Really need you here,
but you are always there.
Wish you didn’t have her,
but you do…
So what is left for me to do
except to forget you?
You had my heart,
but you didn’t care;
Now I’m trying to find it,
but it’s just not there.
You never wanted me,
I wanted you.
You never loved me;
I did it for us two.
If I tell you to stay,
you won’t listen,
Because you’ve got your own life,
where I am missing.
So many guys wanting me,
so many ‘no’s to them.
I guess I need you,
but for you it’s not true,
I’d give anything in the world,
would do anything
for you to feel the same way that I do.
