Two Poems from our Sad, Grief, Sympathy, Broken Heart Poetry Collection

CRY BABY

Author: Jesse Laing

Poem:
CRY BABY

What a terrible thing to say,
What an awful game to play.
I watch my full volcano tears,
Spill like lava past my ears.
One by one they hit the floor,
Each harder than the one before.
They come together to form a stream,
Like I was stuck in Alice's dream.
Salt water fills the hardwood crack,
Like soldiers marching front to back.
It meets a nail and starts to rust,
Then dries and flakes and turns to dust.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF ANTHONY "HUERO" GUTIERREZ

Author: Lisa Castro

Poem: IN LOVING MEMORY OF ANTHONY "HUERO" GUTIERREZ

It's very hard knowing that you're not going to be here anymore
That's why my heart is torn
It puts tears to my eyes
Knowing I have to say good-bye
And all our memories no one can take away
All I can do is think about them day by day
I wish
There was something I could have done to help you
I wish
You could see how much pain we're all going through
I wish
You could just walk through the door
And only then I will revive
From all the pain in my life
Sometimes I think I can see your face
But I have to realize you're in a better place
Watching over me all the time
And you're always in my mind
There's nothing else I can say
Except I'm going to miss you every single day
