Two Poems from our Sad, Grief, Sympathy, Broken Heart Poetry Collection

RAIN OF TEARS

Author: Sahida Mohd

Poem:
RAIN OF TEARS

the pour of the evening rain,
mirroring beads of tears,
a silhouette of warm trail,
it's passionate flow,
threatening to torment the cheek,

but..
is it's tide really high?
didn’t the tears caress the soft cheek,
when it descended from it's abode?
didn’t the tears embrace the eyes,
when it gushes out aplenty?

never was it a last attempt,
for me to vaporize my feelings,
just to let the tears flow,
would instead be releasing,
the layers of emotion that dwell in the heart,

the pour of the evening rain
you see,
is actually just a beginning.

LONELY-IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY DOG, CHINTA

Author: Stephanie Loh

Poem: LONELY-IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY DOG, CHINTA

Whenever I look out the window,
Expecting to find you there.
I see nothing but a sparrow,
Flying through the air.

The lively dog I once knew,
I didn't even notice you.
You left just today,
Not a farewell I could say.

I never appreciated when you were here,
Not once thanking you for your presence,
I want to meet you again, my dear,
Now that you're up in the heavens.

I never knew what I had,
Until it disappeared.
My feeling may not be glad,
But my heart just cleared.

When will I ever learn,
To love what is here at present?
I will and wish for me to turn
Time back when I learnt my lesson.

I wrote this to tell you,
What I meant here was true.
I wanted to let you know,
That in my heart I loved you so.
