JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES

Author: Harold Therault

Poem:
JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES

  JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES

Everyone has a purpose in life,
just like a husband and wife.
You may not always see them,
but, they are always there.
If you start to think that you have missed that special date,
or not spent enough time with them.
Just close your eyes (pause)
and you will realize
You can see and hear them with no surprise. (Pause)
Once a sister,
you will always be a sister.
Then you will see,
that in your heart lies a true memory that was meant to be.
Do not ponder on the times that you have missed.
Just close your eyes and you will see a list.
For every tear there will be a year of memories that you can see and hear.
When you think that life is too short, and we do not see each other enough.
Just close your eyes and there will be a lifetime of memories for you to see and hear.
When your sister thinks you have missed her (pause)
Just close your eyes, and with no surprise you will realize
You will never forget her.
So, (pause) as you can see, you are as close as you can be,
Just by closing your eyes.
As long as you remember, (pause)
they are never gone.

MY SISTER

Author: Colleen Laforme

Poem: MY SISTER

Do you remember when we were young
Living in the house we called home
Where the love of our childhood clung
The house is still there no noise anymore
No barbies No wreselingNo peg board
All those years are yesterdays
But i often wish they came
Still i shed no tears for them
I hold on to the todays that remain
Togather the days pass us bye
We brought life in and watch some die
Seen eachother laugh seen eachother cry
Truly sisters bye and bye
Someday we will sit under the shade of a tree
Reminising about the past of you and me
Even though we would tire more
Loose are words and are bones are sore
Something others are sure to see
These two sisters under that tree
There will be you there will be me
Talking past memories over a tea
I know we will laugh i am sure we will cry
Because we are truly sisters bye and bye
